If you need a race entry from Fred’s Team, please fill out the form below. We are looking for people who are passionate about fundraising for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and advancing MSK’s mission of ending cancer for life.

If you have a guaranteed race entry from New York Road Runners and would like to run with Fred's Team, you do not need to apply below. Please contact fredsteam@mskcc.org.

The application deadline will be in early September 2027. After you apply, you’ll receive email updates confirming that we’ve received your application, notifying you when the review process begins, and letting you know when a final decision has been made.

Application reviews will begin in January 2027 and continue on a rolling basis through early September 2027, or until all spots are filled. Applicants who are not selected may be added to our waitlist and offered a spot if one becomes available due to a cancellation.

Fundraising Commitment and Goal

All participants must commit to a minimum fundraising requirement and a fundraising goal. 2027 fundraising levels and benefits are still being finalized. In the meantime, explore the 2026 offerings for a preview.

Your fundraising goal is the amount you plan to raise beyond the minimum requirement. Aim high! The more money you raise, the bigger the impact you will make on cancer research. Please note: All participants are responsible for paying the New York Road Runners entry fee.

Individuals who make a onetime donation of $10,000 to MSK are eligible to receive one of 35 available entries. You can’t raise money for this donation, but we encourage all Leadership Giving level participants to raise additional funds during the season.

About Fred’s Team
Fred’s Team, the official running program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), gives every runner the opportunity to add more meaning to their miles by raising money for lifesaving cancer research at MSK. Fred’s Team was named in honor of running legend and co-founder of the New York City Marathon Fred Lebow, who underwent treatment for brain cancer at MSK in 1991. 100% of the money raised goes directly into MSK labs, where groundbreaking discoveries are making a real difference for people around the world.
