I have been with Fred’s Team since 1998, and I’m proud of not only my involvement and the development of our coaching program in 2003 but the opportunity to coach thousands of teammates through the years.
David Slutsky

I’ve run a total of 19 marathons — 16 and counting with Fred’s Team! What I love most about Fred’s Team is the experience of training with an incredible group of people who are all committed to helping others by running.

I’m a doctor, a runner, and a fanatical Fred’s Team member. I’ve run 17 New York City Marathons and another 23 marathons and ultramarathons around the world. My passion for running found new depth and meaning when I began training with Fred’s Team.

I ran my first New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team in 2006 as a "one and done,” and 20 years later, I'm still here! Since joining Fred’s Team, I’ve completed 10 marathons, 3 Olympic triathlons, and 4 half-Ironmans — so far.

I joined Fred’s Team in 2006 to run my first marathon. At the time, I could barely run a mile. Since then, I’ve run a total of seven marathons. It has been my pleasure and privilege to be a part of the team as a runner and mentor.

I joined Fred’s Team in 2016 after my mother-in-law passed away from brain cancer. I’ve run nine marathons with Fred’s Team since then. My teammates continue to inspire me.

In 2012, I joined Fred’s Team to help create a world without cancer. Over the years, this team has become an integral part of my life, and I cherish the deep friendships and memories I’ve made along the way.
Hillary Gardenswartz
Mentor
I signed up to run the New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team in 2012 to honor the memory of my mother and to push myself in a new way. With Fred’s Team, I went from a non-runner to a marathoner.
Katie DiBella McIlraith
Mentor
I was first introduced to Fred’s Team by a family member who was treated at MSK. My brother and I founded Team Westdyk Strong in their honor. I truly believe that when we run together with purpose, anything is possible.
